I recently read, “That if at first you don’t succeed, you ought to think twice before trying sky-diving.” Although a humorous thought, this quip belies a common mistake many of us make in everyday life; we only do what is safe and sure to succeed. I invite you to challenge that kind of thinking in your own life this year. Take chances and dare to do something that you have always wanted to do, even if it brings the possibility of failing. Your failures are not fatal and often lead to wonderful outcomes which would be missed entirely if you always “played it safe.” Determine that you will be a risk-taker and in doing so, unlock the door of “missed opportunities.” Dare to believe that 2010 could be your best year ever!
